A kaiju can be S-tier in PvP yet a poor first unlock if it demands advanced tech you have not learned. Conversely, a training-friendly kaiju may accelerate your G-Cell income enough to unlock S-tier picks faster. This list optimizes the full progression path, not single-fight outcomes.

Costs and availability change with patches on latest updates. Confirm current G-Cell prices on individual kaiju pages and track progress with the G-Cell tracker before committing to a grind.

Phase 1 — Foundation: Play starter kaiju while reading how to play and controls. Earn initial G-Cells without worrying about meta.

Phase 2 — Muto Prime Grind: Follow farming routes using map knowledge from map overview. Unlock Muto Prime and drill linkers in Training Mode.

Phase 3 — Meta Expansion: Choose Godzilla for burst PvP or Ghidorah for zoning based on preference. Consult PvP rankings for current competitive value.

Phase 4 — Roster Completion: Unlock remaining kaiju and prepare for upcoming monsters teased during Open Testing. Maintain daily G-Cell income habits.

Skip Muto Prime first if: You are a veteran from Kaiju Universe with existing combo literacy. Jump to Godzilla for immediate S-tier results per combat guide.

Prioritize Ghidorah earlier if: You exclusively play during peak-hour team lobbies where area denial ultimates shine. Map POI control matters more than solo combo depth.
